R Structure Explained

This post by Suraj Gupta explains it all. This is the first time I have seen a  concise and accessible explanation of the R environment structure and why it matters.

That's the concise version? A similar explanation of how things are found for Python would fit in a tweet. R really has some baggage...

Perhaps concise was not the best choice of words...Agreed that R has some unnecessary complexity under the hood, but for the most part I don't think these interfere with the typical user experience. Different story for developers though.
