R Structure Explained

This post by Suraj Gupta explains it all. This is the first time I have seen a  concise and accessible explanation of the R environment structure and why it matters.

    Explanation of this structure is unlikely to fit on two pages of text, the truth! Must be some Explanatory factor that will help determine the structure right!

That's the concise version? A similar explanation of how things are found for Python would fit in a tweet. R really has some baggage...

Perhaps concise was not the best choice of words...Agreed that R has some unnecessary complexity under the hood, but for the most part I don't think these interfere with the typical user experience. Different story for developers though.
